Elementary Food Hygiene (REHIS)

A one-day certificated course recommended for all food-handlers.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Food Poisoning
  • Food Borne Bacteria, Food Borne Diseases
  • Contamination and Control of Bacterial Growth
  • Storage and Control of Food
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Pest Control
  • Design and Layout of Premises and Equipment
  • Cleaning Procedures
  • Legislation

This is a Generic Unit providing most of the underpinning knowledge for Level II Units 1G1 & 2G4 and some of the underpinning knowledge for Level III Unit 2G3.

A food hygiene test will take place at the end of the day.
