Peter was recently shortlisted for Scottish Young Hotelier of the Year.
Nigel Franks is the proprietor of the Darroch Learg Hotel that has been owned by the Franks family for over 50 years. The hotel has won various accolades, including the Good Hotel Guide and Scotland the Best (amongst the best of its type in the UK). The Darroch Learg has one of the best restaurants in the region and has been accredited with 3 AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence.
For 13 years Jeff Purves was owner and head chef at the Green Inn restaurant in Ballater. Jeff specializes in local products to make regional dishes, and is currently a Chef Consultant. He has strong views on food and on the way food is marketed, and the training of young chefs in Scotland. Jeff was crowned Grampian Seafood Chef of the Year 2007.
