Qualifications Available

SCQF Level 5

Candidates at this level need to be able to work well on their own and as part of a team.

 

Professional Cookery

This SVQ is for people starting out as a chef or cook. The SVQ provides basic food preparation and cooking skills along with the theory behind the process.

 

Food and Beverage Service

This SVQ provides the necessary units to help candidates provide a food and beverage service and to understand the need for good working and customer relations.

 

Hospitality Services

This SVQ covers a variety of departments from Housekeeping, Reception and multi-skilled. It is tailor-made to suit the requirements of the individual and the department they are working in.

SCQF Level 6

Level 6 & 7 are geared for people who are supervisory or advanced craft level at work.

 

Professional Cookery

This level takes the chef into a more departmental area of the kitchen to develop their skills.

 

SCQF Level 7

 

Hospitality, Supervision and Leadership

This is a generic SVQ where the units chosen can be extracted to cover the areas of work required to suit the candidate’s requirements.
